Bise De Buse (avant-chamber, chamber-jazz)

Born in Strasbourg's university way back in 75, from the association of friends following musicology courses, the group was often a trio (pianist Spielmann, drummer Malka & bassist/guitarist Dosdat), sometimes joined by sax player Michel, to play informally contemporary music, rock and traditional musics. It would be a few years before the group found its musical orientations and evolved into a quintet (adding bassist Heitz), then in 1980 adding cellist Bataillon. But the group had to cut back and only a trio recorded the eight tracks of the album, which was acoustic chamber rock music. With Bataillon offered a job across the country, the group disbanded almost immediately, but reformed under the moniker Triple Buse (triple airhead) than later under Biz'Art.

So BdB never released an album per se, but the Musea release is a compilation of the recorded album (recorded as a trio of piano, sax and cello) with Gong's Didier Malherbe on two tracks, and various tapes from various eras (including the group as a quintet), most of them in 79, when the group was highly influenced by the Canterbury scene.

Barricade (RIO, avant-prog)

BARRICADE, already known as the roots of ZNR, were a radical French commune formed in 1969 by over thirty musicians / non-musicians around François BILLARD (saxophone, voices, harmonica) and Gérard LAPEYRE (violin) in Marseilles. They had wandered from place to place, changed their members one after another, and gigged on various stages in France around 1970.

In 1973, they were split into two Barricades - one is a radically political & anarchic music outfit around François named Barricade Crève-Vite-Charogne (aka BARRICADE CVC), and another a musically experimental project called BARRICADE II around Roquet Belles OREILLES (called Hector ZAZOU later) and Joseph RACAILLE. The two Barricades had refused any record release throughout their active period in any cases (although Virgin Records had tried to persuade BARRICADE II to release albums and to go on a tour in England).

BARRICADE CVC were disbanded in 1973, and also BARRICADE II in the following year, when almost all of their material might be destroyed. Hector and Joseph formed chamber-rock unit ZNR later.

Finally in 2005, a French avant-jazz label Futura Records could release a compilation CD "Le Rire Des Camisoles 1969-1974" with their session & live material in those days by permission.
